​​And a maker of one-of-a-kind, handcrafted Fashion & Art collectibles.​

Here's a little bit about me so you can know me better:

I am an alumnus & scholarship awardee of Pearl Academy, Mumbai, batch of 2016-2018, having developed my graduation collection with Vero Moda India in 2018 as my industry project. As a fashion graduate, hired immediately after graduation, I have had extensive work experience over the last seven years across different disciplines of Design. Fashion accessories, couture womenswear, home furnishings and print & surface development, being my main areas of expertise. 

I have worked closely with international clients of varied well known luxury design houses, the likes of Fendi to Alice+Olivia and many others from the fashion capitals of New York, London, Milan, Rome and Paris, managing orders for sampling and product development, overlooking every aspect from sourcing, creation of samples, vendor management to shipment of the final results, as a Sampling Designer/Merchandiser. 

Being a self taught Artist, I practice art - digital/hand drawn/ mixed media & 2D Animation, in my free time; it has been my most preferred means of creative expression since early childhood. I have also worked as a Graphic Designer for one of India's first online schools, leading the responsibility for creation of designs for the daily lectures and online game based learning for the Kindergarten segment of the school.

From undertaking and overseeing the creation and completion of luxury fashion goods, writing for a magazine, assisting on home decor and furnishing assignments, delivering on freelance design contracts, pro bono styling for shoots, to creating graphics for young minds, my professional journey has been vast and complex, and has had a momentum and multi-dimensional beauty of it's own. I have had the good fortune of gaining extensive knowledge and experience derived from working with some of the best places, the industry has to offer.

Studio Nandita is an independent fashion and art practice, having it's roots in my love for all things Design, Art and Fashion. It is an ongoing and everlasting pursuit of all that lights my heart on fire and the artistic expression that it manifests itself in, in the form of products and collectibles. It is a vision second to none, rooted in authenticity and a desire to ignite that which remains unknown in ourselves.
